LOT OF 11 fine b&w snapshot photos showing the Rogers Brothers' Circus set up in Highland Park, LeMoyne Pennsylvania on August 11, 1952.
+ 3 other snapshot photos of the Cole Brothers Circus - just after having been in President Truman's Inaugural Parade - dated 30 May, 1949 and taken at the Hershey Road Grounds.
SO . . . A TOTAL of 14 Pennsylvania Circus Photos + 12 negatives:
Lot also includes 12 negatives that were originally bound into the same little orange photo holder + the original orange photo holder (which also mentions a LeMoyne Pet Show but NO PHOTOS of that pet show were bound in - just the circus photos). Presumably the negatives feature one circus view not present with the actual original photo prints - or, perhaps, 1 view of the Pet Show.
Highland Park has now been turned into a residential area (mostly apartments?) in LeMoyne.
The 11 larger photos (showing Rogers Brothers Circus) each measures 5 x 3
1/2
inches and feature deckled edges. MOST of the photos are identified by Mrs. Howard McCurdy (photos came from her son Ed's estate) on the verso.
The 3 smaller photos (2 of them identified by Mrs. McCurdy as showing the Cole Brothers Circus) each measures 3
1/2
inches by 2
1/2
inches.
(Starting 18 March 2020 - though I'm social distancing myself and have absolutely no symptoms - I will rub [until dry] a fresh dollop of rubbing alcohol into my hands immediately before picking your items from my shelves and packing them - and again when I mail them).
