  • Condition: Pre-owned, used condition. I have not cleaned the bisque. Paint shows original imperfection, smears / drips, and there is aging, wear, rubs, smudges, soiling as shown. I looked under the gown outfit and the paint on the red romper looks to be in the same condition as the blue romper. More paint wear on the back of the rompers and on the hair bows. The jointed arms are firmly attached. The molded feet/shoes on the red romper doll are smooth around the edges. Those of the blue romper doll have some rough spots and edges - look like original mold imperfections as these are painted over. The hand stitched clothing cannot be removed. The robe has age tanning and soiling. No tears or holes.

    2 Vtg Japan 4 1/4" Girl Bisque Frozen Charlotte Dolls Jointed Arms one outfit
    Here are 2 vintage all bisque girl dolls that appear to be the same or similar mold with painting and clothing variation. Both have frozen Charlotte bodies with string jointed arms. Impressed mark on the upper backs "Japan". These are an estate find, along with several other antique and vintage bisque dolls that are listed separately. I am not a doll expert and may make a mistake in describing the dolls or terms used. Please email with questions.
    I have placed a ruler in some pictures for size reference. Approx. 4 1/4" tall. Each weighs about 2 oz.
    Painted blonde / yellow molded hair. The feet / shoes are painted the same color as the legs. Painted blue & black eyes, brown brows, red lips, rosy cheeks. One has a blue & white striped painted romper with matching blue hair bow. The other doll has a red & white striped painted romper with matching red hair bow. The doll with the red romper has a hand stitched choir gown outfit that cannot be removed: red sleeveless rayon type cloth gown with white cotton long sleeve robe. Red ribbon bow tied around the neck.
