You are bidding on an original 8” x 10” glossy photo showing Dailey Bros. Circus star Doug Autry (Gene Autry’s brother.)
It was given to me many years ago by elephant trainer Robert “Smokey” Jones who was also with the Dailey show.
(According to Smokey, by the end of the season, all of the silver dollars on the horse’s bridle and chest strap had been stolen.)
This original photo comes from a non-smoking household.
It shows signs of handling and foxing and has Smokey’s hand-written notations on the front and back.
Otherwise, it is in fairly good condition for being 70 or more years old.
