Rare and desirable cast iron shooting gallery target depicting a long tailed monkey in an animated running position. Circa early 20th century from William F. Mangels Co. Coney Island NY.
Stamped WFM CO 9. Similar to the image displayed in the authoritative book Step Right Up Classic American Target and Arcade Forms by Richard and Valerie Tucker. (see Figure 1.12 on page 17and inside rear cover)
Monkey measures 9 1/2 inches long, about  7 1/4 inches high. Great rusty patina.
Rare folk art find!!  He was lying in the rafters. Owner of the farm had hidden away his treasures:)
