Realart Pictures Original Re-release (1948) of the Universal Pictures Horror film THE GHOST OF FRANKENSTEIN, originally released in 1942. This film was the fourth movie in the series of Frankenstein films that began in 1931. The cast includes Lon Chaney, Jr. as the monster, Evelyn Ankers, Bela Lugosi, Sir Cedric Hardwicke, Ralph Bellamy, Lionel Atwill, Holmes Herbert and Richard Alexander. An excellent synopsis of the movie exists on wikipedia, but suffice it to say that this was a well made movie which furthered the franchise of films that had made a lot of money for Universal, as well as perpetuated interest in characters that continue to the present day. The image of Chaney as The Monster is quite good, and the poster, although theater-used, is linen-backed and in fine condition.
