Today we are excited to present for sale a very rare and wonderful antique 1940's Ticket Booth chasing light sign! This great sign is the epitome of 1940's carnival era! The sign is nicely crafted of heavy formed metal with each side featuring a "Ticket Booth" sign with bold black letters on white ground. The sign on both sides is bordered by old-fashioned round light-bulbs in white and red (which can be changed to any color combination of your choosing) which
light-up and go off in a "chasing" pattern
to give the illusion of lights moving along the string and to visually attract attention to the sign.
The piece was used to advertise the Ticket Booth in a carnival fair, boardwalk pier,
or special event. The sign features mounting brackets on both sides and could be hung or used any creative way the buyer chooses. This piece would make a great behind the counter backdrop in a bar or coffee shop.
Sign presents beautifully and is in very good vintage condition, with minor surface wear, oxidation and patina commensurate with age and use. In perfect working condition and complete with brand-new period-appropriate red and white light bulbs (replacements available on Amazon). This is a tremendous opportunity to acquire a rare and truly wonderful chasing light sign which will be THE conversation piece of any interior!
