very nice unrestored 100% original Massachusetts license plate pair. 1942 issue; number 719-689. 14 x 6 inches; white legend on maroon  background.  the plates lie completely straight and flat, with very good original paint.  one plate has a bit of scotching on the white paint; the other is pretty close to perfect.  per Massachusetts YOM rules, you only need to run one - you get both, as to maximize your options.
RMV clear as of 7/7/2021.  may be registered on your 1942 vehicle for road use.  perfect for your Ford, Chevy, Plymouth, Studebaker, or DeLorean.
new RMV regulations as of May, 2020 have restricted the quantity of eligible numbers for the YOM program.  instead of the numbers needing to be available in the YOM pool only, they must be overall out of use across all types.  this is because the Mass Pike toll readers were having trouble differentiating types - so all repeated numbers across types (say, regular #123 versus commercial #123 versus YOM #123) are being strenuously forced into retirement, and no new conflicts are being allowed.
approximately 95% of previously eligible plates have been invalidated, but
the plates being offered here have been checked against all types and are guaranteed eligible even with the new RMV rules.
