Blue White Talavera Ceramic Tile and Woven Wicker Rattan Tray Basket Towel Holder Mexico
Very distinctive handmade blue and white Mexican (?) woven ceramic tile and wicker/rattan rectangular tray basket.
Can be used as a vanity tray or lovely guest towel holder.
The tray has a woven wicker bottom attached to five metal rods for extra support.
Individual blue and white floral tile pieces are butted end to end all along the sides of the tray, and are punched and woven to the basket edges which are trimmed with a heavy gauge and very sturdy blue and white painted braided metal wire.
Piece is unmarked but has the appearance of a Mexican Talavera-style folk art piece.
The numbers 9010 (or
0106)
are etched into the back of one of the tiles.
Measures approx. 13 1/2" L x 5 1/2" W x 2" H.
In beautiful pre-owned condition with handmade
irregularities
