    Description

Vintage Burch's Kandy Korn Popcorn Bag out of Kansas City, Missouri, "The Greatest of All Health Foods" 1920s - 1930s
    Cellophane Popcorn Bag 8 1/2" x 3 1/2" ~
Many of us grew up with the magic and mystery of the Circus, sideshow acts, and clowns. We remember walking around with a bag of popcorn.
This has a really interesting history.  In 1922 JR Burch started making popcorn machines he called the Burch Machine. In a less than 2-year time frame he got a partner and left the business to him. Who changed the name to Manly, Inc in 1940.
I honestly am not sure if they made two different color bags as I have seen some that are white and some like this that are tan. It doesn't look like normal cello aging because the color is even throughout the whole bundle and usually the ones in the middle would be less affected. I will let you decide from the videos and pictures. Of course, I have not seen a lot of popcorn bags from the 1920s either.
